About Oscar Sierra, L.Ac., RH
Oscar Sierra, L.Ac., RH is an integrative medicine practitioner, Registered Herbalist, and Licensed Acupuncturist based in Sandy Springs, Georgia. As the founder of Sierra Botanica & Collaborative Medicine, his work focuses on helping individuals navigate complex chronic illness, autoimmune conditions, environmental health concerns, and integrative cancer care through a personalized, systems-based approach.
Drawing from functional medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, nutrition, and custom herbal medicine, Oscar works to understand the relationships that may be influencing health. His clinical approach integrates advanced laboratory assessment, careful observation, and collaborative care to help patients make more informed decisions about their health.
A major influence on Oscar's work is the Eclectic Triphasic Medical System (ETMS), developed by his mentor Donald Yance. ETMS integrates functional medicine, botanical medicine, nutrition, and systems biology through a patient-centered framework that considers not only pathology itself, but also the broader terrain surrounding it. Oscar is among a small number of nationally certified ETMS clinicians and has practiced within this framework since 2011.
Oscar earned a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Science from the University of Georgia with a minor in Anthropology focused on Traditional Medicine. He completed more than 3,000 hours of clinical training and earned national board certifications in both Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. In addition to his background in Traditional Chinese Medicine, he continues advanced study in functional medicine, integrative oncology, systems biology, and chronic inflammatory disease.
At his full-time practice in Sandy Springs, Oscar can often be found compounding custom herbal formulations, reviewing complex cases, or helping patients better understand the many factors influencing their health. Outside the clinic, he enjoys mountain biking, playing music, herb walks, and participating in community education through local herbal and wellness organizations. He has been serving the Atlanta area professionally since 2008.
