Chronic Illness
& Unexplained Symptoms

When symptoms don't fit neatly into a single explanation.

Persistent symptoms can be frustrating, especially when answers remain unclear or different pieces of the story do not seem to fit together.

Sometimes the challenge is not a lack of information, but understanding how the information fits together.

The Diagnosis Is Not Always the Whole Story

Chronic health concerns do not always follow a simple or predictable path. Symptoms may affect multiple body systems, change over time, or persist despite previous evaluations and treatments.

Fatigue, brain fog, digestive concerns, pain, headaches, sleep disturbances, and other persistent symptoms can sometimes reflect the influence of multiple factors rather than a single cause.

Looking beyond isolated symptoms, diagnoses, or test results may help create a more complete understanding of the situation.

The Three
Domains of Curiosity

When symptoms are persistent, unexplained, or involve multiple body systems, it can be difficult to know which pieces of information matter most.

Our Three Domains of Curiosity framework helps us explore the relationships between the individual, their environment, and the condition itself. Looking at these domains together can help create a more complete understanding of the situation.

A Collaborative Approach to Care

Many individuals living with chronic illness are already working with a variety of healthcare providers.

Our role is to contribute another perspective by considering how symptoms, physiology, environment, and medical history may fit together.

Rather than replacing existing care, we work alongside other practitioners to help build a clearer understanding of the situation.

What Chronic Illness & Unexplained Symptoms Support May Include

Persistent symptoms can have many potential influences, and no single approach is appropriate for every situation.

Depending on the individual and the questions being explored, support may include:

  • Functional medicine assessment

  • Advanced laboratory evaluation

  • Nutrition and dietary support

  • Environmental health assessment

  • Custom herbal medicine

  • Lifestyle and stress management strategies

  • Review of previous testing and medical history

  • Collaboration with physicians and specialists

  • Ongoing monitoring and clinical guidance

Every situation is different. Recommendations are guided by the individual's health history, current concerns, goals of care, and the information available.

Working with

Oscar Sierra, L.Ac., RH

Oscar Sierra specializes in helping people make sense of complex health situations.

His approach combines functional medicine, advanced laboratory analysis, nutrition, traditional medicine, and custom herbal medicine to support individuals navigating chronic illness, unexplained symptoms, and other complex health conditions. Rather than focusing on a diagnosis alone, he seeks to understand how physiology, lifestyle, environment, and medical history may be contributing to the situation.

For many individuals, this process can bring greater clarity to health concerns that may otherwise feel difficult to understand.
